Aus Liebe Zum Duft, the German fragrance retailer better known to English-speakers as First in Fragrance.com , has launched their first fragrance “No.1″ in honor of their 10th anniversary with the collaboration of top perfurmer Marc vom Ende.

No. 1 is unique – just like First-in-Fragrance. At first it was reserved for its creator: “I made the fragrance specifically for myself.” says Marc vom Ende. “I always wore it whenever I was in the mood to make a strong impression or to attract attention and it never failed to have the desired effect and always conveyed a certain special presence.” A character strong perfume that we had always wished for, so two visions became one and “No. 1” became our signature-fragrance – exclusively for ourselves and our customers.

The head is dominated by the tart freshness of citrus notes though the central element of the fragrance is leather. Leather combined with distinctive woody notes and an amber chord that’s razor-sharp accentuated and so well-dosed that an almost metallic note emerges. A vibrating virility with animalic tendencies underlined by strangely enticing spices: “No. 1 contains a plethora or ingredients that I love”, says Marc vom Ende, “Such as fresh ginger and cardamom which are spices that we all know and love from exotic cuisine.” Rich in contrast, the fragrance is complemented by the heady scent of jasmine which creates an exciting ambivalence and emphasizes the warm powdery base.
