Galliano’s Return to Fashion???
As we know, John Galliano was arested in February for allegedly spewing multiple racist remarks toward patrons in a Paris Bar. The moment was captured by a friend of the couple. In it, Galliano is seen slurring his words, but clearly stating “I love Hitler” and “People like you would be dead. Your mothers, your forefathers, would all be f****** gassed.”
Bill Gaytten, who took over John Galliano’s namesake label after he was fired from LVMH, presented a full-on runway show in Paris over the weekend.Gaytten says he would have been happy to stay a pattern cutter in Galliano’s shadow. He adds that he’s been in touch with his former boss. As for the prospect of Mr Galliano returning to fashion, Gaytten is coy. “We’ll see,” he says. “It’s not over until it’s over. I can’t say any more than that right now.”
