Yohji Yamamoto, the famous fashion designer from Japan has filed  for bankruptcy protection in a Tokyo court. Saddling it with debts of 6bn yen ($67 million) because the global economic downturn had hurt salesof  its upmarket clothing range. This master of cutting can keep his business afloat while restructuring takes places under Japan’s Civil Rehabilitation Law.

Btw, this doesn’t sound as bad as it seems, an investor offered to bail him out of the whole mess so Mr. Yamamoto can operate business as usual while the reorganisation takes place. Unlike Christian Lacroix, who balked when a couture customer threw money in his face. First time I saw this shoes, I was thinking “Are those shoes comfort for use?? Why they like wearing that shoes which so difficult and perhaps even dangerous for walk in??”
