Say Hi Forever to Daul Kim

A south Korean supermodel Daul Kim found dead at her luxury flat in Paris. According to police, Daul Kim was found hanged in her city centre apartment by a friend. Daul Kim had modelled for leading designers, including Chanel, Dries van Noten and Alexander McWueen. Despite her professional success, Daul Kim had hinted at her desire to end her life in her popular internet blog – a series of poems, photos and thoughts called “I like to Fork Myself (iliketoforkmyself.blogspot.com)”.

Daul Kim left a series of message on her website saying she was lonely and depressed. On October 30, she wrote “i was getting mad depressed and overworked in Seoul and highlight of it was this day. so i left seoul and im in paris im happy”.

The following day she wrote “no more running away from something or someone or myself. i wonder what will happen tonight”. But her thoughts had apparently darkened by November 5, when she wrote “i already accepted that i relate to nothing past is heavy but past is past and i can only try to understand…the more i gain the more lonely it is…i know i’m like a ghost, i have nothing”

And on November 18, Daul Kim posted an entry entitled “Say hi to forever” accompanied by a video of the song I Go Deep by British singer Jim Rivers.
